About us

Two Clinical Psychologists, longtime friends.

We built Bluecove to make therapy feel thoughtful, warm, and genuinely personal from the start.

We met through a shared passion for psychology and have supported each other through clinical training and NHS life ever since. Starting Bluecove felt like a natural next step, a chance to offer something we both care deeply about: thoughtful, personalised psychological support.

We each work with clients individually, but we collaborate closely, sharing ideas, reflecting on our practice, and joining forces for workshops and group learning. We've built a practice rooted in genuine warmth, mutual respect, and a shared belief that everyone deserves access to quality psychological care.

We work individually with clients, but we stay in conversation with one another and shape the practice together.

Meet us

The two of us.

We each work one-to-one with our own clients, with different backgrounds but a shared way of practising.

How we work

Session basics, then together we find our rhythm.

We offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term work. The pace is guided by your goals and what feels right.

Initial assessment

A first conversation, no obligation.

Online via Zoom

50-minute sessions, anywhere quiet.

Weekly or fortnightly

A steady cadence that suits the work.

We start by understanding what brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. From there, we work collaboratively, sharing our thinking, inviting feedback, and adjusting as we go. Therapy is a genuine partnership.

Are we the right fit?

Finding the right therapist matters.

Part of that is being honest about who we work best with. We may not be the right fit if you are currently:

  • Experiencing thoughts of self-harm, harming others, or suicide
  • In crisis or concerned about your immediate safety
  • Within the first year after giving birth, or about to give birth
  • Struggling with eating disorders
  • Using substances in a way that significantly affects your daily life
  • Seeking a formal assessment report for legal, court, or educational purposes (e.g. EHCP)

This isn't a judgement. These are areas where you deserve specialist support beyond what we can offer in a private online setting. We'd gently encourage you to speak to your GP, who can refer you to the right service.

Workshops & groups

Psychological thinking, brought into your community.

Workshops and group learning are something we're shaping carefully, not rushing.

We're developing workshops and group-based learning for organisations, schools, and teams, bringing psychological thinking into your workplace or community.

Topics we're exploring include wellbeing in the workplace, managing stress and change, and building resilience. If this is something your organisation would value, we'd love to hear from you.

This is aspirational content. No specific workshops are offered yet; this page establishes the intent and invites enquiries.

FAQs

A few things people often ask.

The practical questions tend to be the same. These are the ones that usually matter first.

Who we are

Bluecove is a private online psychology practice operated by Ceyla and Jacquelyn, both HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are joint data controllers.

What we collect

Through our contact form we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • What you'd like to discuss (therapy, workshops, general question)
  • Your preferred therapist (optional)
  • The message you write to us
  • Your consent to handle this data

We don't use analytics or tracking cookies. We don't log the content of your messages in any application or infrastructure logs.

Why we collect it

The lawful basis is your explicit consent, given via the checkbox on the contact form. We use your information solely to reply to your enquiry and, if we proceed, to arrange an initial assessment.

How it's stored and protected

Submissions are stored in a managed Postgres database (Neon), encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). Database access is restricted to service credentials only. Neon is based in the United States; we rely on their Data Processing Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses for lawful transfer of personal data.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are automatically deleted after 90 days. If we begin therapy together, any clinical records we keep are maintained separately in line with professional standards (typically seven years) and covered in our therapy contract.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct it
  • Ask us to delete it (right to erasure)
  • Object to, or restrict, our processing of it
  • Receive a copy in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

To exercise any of these, email us via the contact form and mention the right you'd like to use. We'll reply within 2 days.

Complaints

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
