Terms of use

Last updated: April 2026

These terms apply to your use of bluecovepractice.com and the contact form. By using the site you accept them. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Who we are

Bluecove is a private online psychology practice run by Jacquelyn and Ceyla, both Clinical Psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. We are based in London, United Kingdom and work online via Zoom. The practice currently operates as a sole trader.

What this website is

The website is here to:

  • Introduce the practice and the two therapists
  • Explain how we work
  • Let you send us an enquiry

What this website is not

  • Not therapy. Reading or browsing the site, or sending us an enquiry, does not begin a therapeutic relationship with you.
  • Not medical, psychological, or clinical advice. The general information on the site is for orientation only and is not a substitute for a consultation with a suitably qualified professional.
  • Not a diagnosis or assessment. Nothing on the site diagnoses, assesses, or treats any condition.
  • Not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is at immediate risk, please use the services listed in the site's "in a crisis" area, or call 999 in the UK, or contact Samaritans on 116 123.

Sending an enquiry

Submitting the contact form is an invitation to begin a conversation. It does not:

  • Create a therapist-client relationship
  • Oblige us to accept you as a client
  • Guarantee availability, suitability, or any particular outcome

If we agree to proceed, a therapeutic relationship begins only once we have offered you an initial assessment and you have accepted our separate written therapy contract. The therapy contract sets out the clinical, financial, and safeguarding terms of any work together, and takes precedence over these website terms for anything relating to the therapy itself.

We aim to reply to enquiries within 7 working days. During holidays or periods of leave, replies may take longer.

Fit, scope, and onward referral

We are a small practice and we do not work with every presentation. The "Are we the right fit?" section of the site describes who we are, and are not, best placed to help. If we're not the right fit, we may suggest you speak with your GP or a more specialist service. Any such suggestion is a starting point, not a clinical recommendation or referral in the formal sense.

Who the site is for

The content on this site is addressed to adults (18 and over) ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom. Online therapy across jurisdictions can raise regulatory and insurance questions. If you live outside the UK, please mention that in your enquiry so we can consider it carefully before any work begins.

Regulatory status and complaints

Both therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK, which sets the standards for our professional conduct. You can verify our registration at hcpc-uk.org.

If you have a concern about how we've conducted ourselves, please raise it with us first; we'll take it seriously. You also have the right to complain to:

  • The HCPC, for matters of professional conduct, at hcpc-uk.org
  • The Information Commissioner's Office, for data-protection concerns, at ico.org.uk

Intellectual property

The content on this site (text, layout, images, brand marks, and icons) is owned by the practice or used under licence. You may view the site and share short excerpts with attribution for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not republish the content, use our brand marks, or incorporate material into commercial work without our written permission.

Third-party links

We sometimes link to other sites (the HCPC, Samaritans, NHS, ICO, and others). We don't control their content and we're not responsible for it.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we don't guarantee either. Information may go out of date between revisions, and we may change or remove content without notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to the paragraph above: the site is provided "as is", and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including any reliance on information displayed here, except where that loss or damage is a direct and foreseeable result of our breach of these terms.

If you become a client of the practice, our professional liability to you as your therapists is governed by the separate therapy contract and by the professional standards applicable to us.

Privacy

How we handle personal data collected through the site and the contact form is described in our privacy policy.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable

If any provision of these terms is held to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as severed from the remaining terms, which will continue in full force.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights you have under the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you are ordinarily resident.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent substantive change.
